Mock-up Site Location:
BoldIT hosts a mock-up site on its development server for client review of design,
functionality and content. Site files will not be transferred (by FTP or CD-ROM)
until the client has approved, signed off and paid for the site.
Payment to BoldIT:
An initial payment of 30% of the estimated price is required to commence work.
Depending upon the complexity of the site, the contract may require intermittent
payments of 20% of the estimated price upon the completion of Phases Two and Three
of the project. The balance is due within 30 days of approval and sign-off by
the client. If final payment is not received, BoldIT reserves the right to dispose
of the site as it deems appropriate, including the reuse of design and content
elements conceived and developed by BoldIT.
Content:
It is the responsibility of the client to make sure all content is correct before
delivery. All images provided by the client for their website must be copyright-approved
before delivery. BoldIT takes no responsibility for the copyright of any supplied
images. All content should be delivered in one package, containing all images,
text, captions, etc. This package must contain clear instructions on where the
content is to go.
Changes to Initial Contract:
If BoldIT determines that any item requested by the client does not fit within
the contract, the client will be notified immediately. The item will then be either
quoted separately or charged as an extra at full hourly rates.
Corrections and Modifications:
Once a site has been approved and signed off, all additional corrections and modifications
to the site will be charged as extras at full hourly rates.
Browser Compatibility:
BoldIT cannot accept responsibility for incompatibility on dated browsers or lack
of plug-ins/helper programs if more advanced (non standards-compliant) technology
is used.
Search Engines :
BoldIT inserts basic metadata
(title, keywords and description)
into each document and will
perform basic search engine
submissions of a new site.
However, BoldIT personnel are
not experts in search engine
seeding and take no responsibility
for search engine results.
It is the responsibility of
the client to complete this
phase of development or to
employ a company with this
expertise. |
